Top 10 Photoshop Tutorials of August

Well it’s the end of the month and you’re waiting in anticipation for Help Developer’s countdown of the top photoshop tutorials of the month, well maybe your not but your here now so you might as well check them out :). As I say everytime I publish this list it gets popular every month and there were some great photoshop tutorials in August, I may have to start increasing the number soon if this continues. 3D Wood Goblet

PSDTuts bought us a nice tutorial on how to produce this wooden goblet/glass/cup/thing that holds fluid with a wooden effect and a nice background, great tutorial to learn some new skills in photoshop if you get chance.

Beijing 2008 Logo

It was the Olympics this month and Abduzeedo, one of the leading photoshop blogs took the opportunity to produce a fantastic tutorial showing you how to produce the Beijing Olympics inspired design below:

Creating Smoke

Staying with Abduzeedo, this month they published a video tutorial showing how to create smoke in Photoshop similar to what you see below:

Design a Professional Laptop Advert

Although this was posted back in July, I only found it this month and I think it is worthy of a mention in the list. This teaches you a number of techniques which can come in very handy in graphic designing especially the background. Nice.

Watercolor Typography

If you fancy a bit of a challenge then check out this tutorial on PSDTuts from Abduzeedo entitled “Dynamic Recedded Watercolor Typography” or what I call very funky watercolour wallpaper. Whatever you want to call it, it looks great.

If you are wanting to get into web design then I would recommend doing this tutorial from PSDFan, its a nice simple way to produce a clean looking business website design like this:
