Help Developer Forum Update

About a week ago I posted my intention on adding a forum to Help Developer and have had some good feedback on it. However, if I do go ahead with this then I don’t want it to be empty so I am giving a heads up to anyone who is interested in using the forum.

I have looked at a lot of graphic/web design forums over the past week to try and establish what people like to talk about, what topics are popular and what topics aren’t. Below is a list of the areas that I am going to be putting up on the new forum:

General

• General Discussion
• Introductions
• Showcase and Reviews (This will be where you can show off your work, new sites, themes etc. and receive feedback)
• Community Links (This has been adopted on many graphic design blogs including mine [Best of the Web], basically this is the place to submit links to your articles that you think may benefit the community)

Tutorials

• Tutorial Suggestions (Suggest tutorials that you would like to see on HD or other sites)
• Tutorial Help (If you need help with any of the tutorials on here or any other sites)
• Community Tutorials (Similar to Community links, you can place links to tutorials you have written/found or even add the tutorial as a thread)

Design

• General Design Discussion
• Gimp Help and Chat
• Photoshop Help and Chat
• Illustrator Help and Chat

Web Coding

• General Coding Discussion
• CSS Help
• HTML/XHTML Help
• PHP/MySQL Help
• ASP Help
• Perl Help

Freebies

• Icons
• Templates
• Stock Images
• Miscellaneous

If you want any more categories then please let me know by leaving comments in this post. Also, I will be looking for moderators so if you are confident in some of the fields above then please let me know.

I want this forum to be used, not just left there so please do help in making it a great place for people to hang out. It will be going live within the next couple of days.
