Create an RSS feed icon/button (part 2)
April 12, 2008
In the second of my tutorials on creating RSS feed icons, I will show you how to create this:

- Firstly, as last time download this image by right clicking and choosing the Save Image As… (or something similar) option:

- Create a new image with 125px x 125px dimensions
- Now select the Open As Layers option on the File menu and find the RSS feed icon you just saved
- Move the RSS layer to the left so it looks like this:

- Now duplicate the RSS icon layer and select the Perspective Tool (shortcut: “Shift and P”) and click and drag the top left and right corners so that it looks similar to this:

- Now duplicate this layer and do the same so that it looks like this:

- Now rearrange the layers if you need to, so that it looks like this:

- Now set the top RSS icon layer to an opacity of 80.0, the second RSS layer to 60.0 and the bottom one to 40.0, this will create the final result which is this:

That’s it, the second RSS icon and hopefully there will be more to come. You can download the xcf file here: rss.xcf
