Adding multiple images into one in The Gimp

A member of my gimp news/tutorial site and forum howtogimp asked this question:
Can anyone show me how to put 4 separate photos into one photo?
So here it is, a simple tutorial of how you can add 4 separate images together into one.
- Create a new image, make it a decent size in order to have ample space to add each of the images. You can change the size later by using the Canvas Size option on the Image menu.
- Now use the Open As Layers option on the File menu:

- Find each of the images you would like to add and click Open. Each image should now have its own separate layer on the Layers window

- Now one by one and use the move tool (shortcut: “M”) to move the images into place, until you have something like this (or however you want it).

- And that’s it, a simple way to add multiple images to one image.
